Initial Appointment
The Parkinson’s Institute focuses on specialty care. The following events take place on a patient’s initial visit with a neurologist at the Parkinson’s Institute:
- Vital signs taken
- Detailed review of past medical history
- Neurological assessment
- Movement assessment
- Diagnosis
- Summary of appointment
- Treatment plan/next steps
The initial appointment lasts approximately one hour.
Follow up Appointment
The Parkinson’s Institute focuses on specialty care. The following events take place during a patient’s follow-up visit with a neurologist at the Parkinson’s Institute:
- Vital signs are recorded
- Neurological assessment
- Movement assessment
- Medications review
- Summary of appointment
- Treatment plan/next steps
A follow-up appointment lasts approximately 30 minutes
